Recently, I've been feeling kinda sad about the fact that I wasn't able to experience the proper golden age of the internet. Sure, there were plenty of issues with the internet in the early 2000s, but overall I feel like it was so much better than the corporate hell we have today

I found out about neocities recently, and I loved what I saw. I don't know jack about HTML or anything, so it's def a struggle to try to get everything to work, and I'm certain if someone even slightly more experienced saw my code they'd faint, but I'm having fun. And it feels like I'm doing something unique, and I'm able to, even for a bit, experience what it was like to be some nerdy teen in the early 2000s.

I've been kinda grinding this site out for the last few hours, since late last night, and I've started getting the hang of it, it's starting to look about how I want it (though I def want a lot more stuff just flooding your eyes. What's a neocity website without the risk of a seizure?), and I'm starting to get comfortable with making the links work, and uploading content.

I feel like this will give me a good place to just, relax. Somewhere to upload crappy little essays I write as practice, somewhere to upload less thought out thoughts that I don't feel like putting in my journal. Something I can just work on for a while without having a specific goal in mind
