First is a short essay I wrote on the tragedy of Nex Benedict's death. I wrote this on Feburary 21st, 2024. I posted it to another site I made, but I want to move to this site primarily. It touchs on some pretty heavy topics. Transphobia, death, murder, etc. etc.

This essay is titled The Function of Poverty. I wrote this on Feburary 21st, 2024. Posted again to the previous site I made, I was inspired by a topic in my Intro to Sociology class. We were discussing functionalism, and poverty was mentioned as a way a negative thing could still provide a function. However, I generally disagreed with the functions laid out. So I sought to write my own essay.
